MUZ - MARTINEZ
Born in the town of Yecla (Murcia) in 1960 but set up residence in the Alicante town of San Vicente del Raspeig.
It is considered self-but admits that his interest in painting began studying at the CE John XXIII in Alicante where he was known to his teacher for several years D. Antonio González ANTOGONZA
In 1977 he joined the School of Arts and Crafts in Alicante. After his studies began to travel around Spain and France in order to complete their training.
In 1978 he joined the School of Plastic Arts of the CAPA, directed by ANTOGONZA, which was again for two years, that its advanced technology.
In September 1995 he created his own school-SCHOOL PAINTING WORKSHOP MUZ-MARTÍNEZ in the city of San Vicente del Raspeig. It is from here that combines his time between teaching and creating his paintings.
In 1996 and 1997 carried out several workshops introduction to painting for the Neighborhood Association Calent Benvinguts de Font-de Alicante.
In 1998 the television show The Carrer de Canal 15 used as a backdrop of large-scale works Social Housing and is also invited to speak to the program Paint Street
It is a founding member of the organizing committee Street art project sponsored by the Department of Tourism of the City of San Vicente del Raspeig.
He was appointed Honorary Member of the NGO Mapayn Mundi to cooperate in donating works to raise funds to aid children and the elderly in the Third World.
In March 2000 Tomy Genio Duarte describes as the abstract in his book artists and professionals of our Alicantinos time devoted four pages.
In December 2000 he traveled to Colombia where it comes into contact with the visiting South American culture, among others, the city Botero, MAMM (Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellin), the Collection of Painting Biennial Coltejer and various art galleries. In addition, known cities such as Santa Fe de Antioquia, Bogota and Medellin.
In 2002 the Provincial Council of Alicante published the biographical book Painters from 1900 to 2000, which includes biography MUZ-MARTÍNEZ.
In 2004, he traveled back to Colombia to make arrangements for an exhibition at the Institute of Fine Arts in Medellin and also in contact with faculty at the University of Fine Arts in Medellin to develop conceptual discussions and exchanges related to European art.
In 2005 marks the 10 anniversary of the creation of the School-Workshop of painting through a group show with all the students, the exhibition was sponsored by the City of San Vicente del Raspeig.
OWN STYLE
Logical that teachers exert a strong influence on his students, in fact, Muz-Martinez acknowledges that his beginnings in the world of painting were well marked by the style of his teacher Antogonza.
In the first works that flow from impressionism figurative artist takes great strength but with the passage of time and moved by their knowledge and concerns centers on the search for an own label identity. A style that would identify him and his artwork.
There are many styles that the artist experiences, until he discovers his true fulfillment through abstraction and figuration.
According to the words of the Muz-Martínez, abstraction will produce sensations fully satisfactory. A style that allows you to search a wide range of materials with which you feel your creativity is the ability to expand without limit.
Muz-Martinez creates discussion in the abstract without losing reference of objects and sensations that surround it, and this commitment to action for his time, his creative will, results in images that transport us to remember our daily life with passion and different enough to see its labyrinthine compositions or colors wasting vitality, to feel that sense of zest for life and see something tells us
A step further, also warns that the talent is boiling, the technique is suited to criterion, and that both documents are in the service of human development itself as a link between the known and what remains for us to know, between what we see and what the author teaches.
